Class Descriptions Beginner Yoga: The perfect class to learn to relax and breathe properly. Welcome beginner and continuing students for mental relaxation and physical wellness. Great for learning to stretch deep muscles and soft tissues all while supporting the lower back. Very helpful for reducing anxiety and for back pain.
Beginner Strength: Entry level yoga classes with options for everyone! In addition to relaxing and breathing, poses will be offered that allow you to add a strengthening element if you choose.
Flow Yoga: Come and experience flowing asanas (poses) and pranayama (breathing). This class is focused on Shambhava Hatha yoga. A challenge for the physical, mental and spiritual self. Natural heat generating through movement flushes out toxins and develops external form and strength. The use of the breath to connect the postures requires an intense mental focus. Learn the Sanskrit names also to all the poses too. Room will be extra warmed in cooler weather!! Restorative Yoga: Intended to bring a state of physical, mental, and emotional relaxation. Props are used to support the body in various positions, allowing you to rest completely into gentle poses.
Meditation: Various styles of easy guided meditations offered free of charge! Perfect opporitunity to gain the infinte benefits of a calm mind and body.
Please check with your physician if you have health concerns that might limit your practice. For example, spinal fractures, or if you are unable to get up and down off of the floor. The Yoga Room can supply most props needed but please bring a mat and a small towel and any other props you may like to use.
